By sourcing these archives we can uncover a detailed history of your home. The focus will mainly be on the period post 1800. Where commissions are agreed outside of these areas charges may apply for travel to relevant local archives offices. However this is not always necessary we can advise at point of sale. See historical record entries about your home. You will find our beautifully presented folios a compelling source to engage with history on an extraordinary level.
We will undertake extensive research that will allow us to piece together the history of your house. By studying census records, directories, and electoral registers, the history of your property will come together. We will also look at estate records, land Tax returns, and Land Valuation records. Manorial records and maps, including tithe maps, will be reviewed. Newspapers, planning records, photographs, and wills will further complete the history.
This package enables us to visit local archive offices to source necessary documents relating to your property. Your folio will include a beautifully authored house chronology. It will have a uniquely designed historical residents timeline. Our special house portrait with historical highlights print is included to hang in your home. Other illustrative pull outs such as maps, conservation commentary, news pages and photographs can also be added. Precise documental analysis will allow us transcribe archival material for easy reading. Prices from £2,750. The focus will mainly be on the period post 1800. You also have the option to purchase more research hours at £35 per hour. These hours will allow deeper investigation into pre 1800 status.
